A modern vintage wedding at Leona Road Grand Rapids : Sarah & Jordan’ beautiful celebration

On November 11, 2023, Sarah and Jordan said “I do” at the stunning Leona Road venue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their wedding was a true reflection of their unique love and style, blending modern and vintage elements to create an unforgettable atmosphere for their guests.

A first look to remember

The day began with a tender, intimate moment-a first look between Sarah and Jordan under a deconstructed flora arch, which was draped in white roses and delicate baby’s breath. The couple’s two cavalier King Charles spaniels, Henry and Lady, joined in the moment, adding and extra layer of warmth and joy to the intimate scene. the arch set the tone for a wedding that was both elegant and personal.

Elegant Ceremony and Timeless vibes

The ceremony featured a string orchestra playing soft, classical music as guest were seated, creating a serene ambiance. As Sarah walked down the aisle in a breathtaking Anthropologie gown with eyelash lace and a cathedral veil, all eyes were on her. Jordan looked dashing in a black velvet suit jacket, and the entire wedding party wore sleek black attire, embodying the classic, timeless vibe they envisioned for their special day.

Incorporating their beloved dogs Henry and Lady into the ceremony, and the details, Sarah and Jordan added personal touches, including custom napkins and stir sticks featuring their pups. Signature drinks were served, making the reception feel extra unique and thoughtful.

A reception full of light and love

The reception space was a dream-airy with towering ceilings, and a inviting warm space to gather. The tables were adorned with beautiful vases of roses, and each table had a different floral centerpiece. The atmosphere was elevated with beautiful floral accents, including a stunning bouquet filled with orchids, baby’s breath, and hanging green amaranthus.

Guests were treated to delightful; details like a vintage phone audio book newspaper invitation and a custo seating chart, and the couple pushed a vintage cart full of tasty treats from nothing bundt cakes. They handed the delicious treats to each table and greeted their guest.

Sweet touches and personal moments

One of the most memorable moments was when Sarah and Jordan fed each other homemade ice cream from a charming vintage ice cream truck. As guests mingled and enjoyed the delicious treat, the couple continued to spread joy, personally greeting their guest and thanking them for coming.

The couple cut their two tiered cake as they entered the reception space. As guest cheered for the newlyweds. Sarah was the picture of joy and radiance throughout the day , and the entire event was filled with precious moments and heartfelt interaction. Just after the dance floor opened, Sarah and Jordan went into the bridal suite tso Jordan could help Sarah change into her party dress. A beautiful short white strapless dress with huge bow in the back. sarah was now ready to dance the night away.

A modern event venue in Grand Rapids with weddings on the mind. Originally built in 1916 as West Leonard Elementary School and fully renovated in 2020-2021, Leona Road is a wedding and event venue with Scandinavian Modern styling. The walls are packed with windows including a large bay along the natural wood’ barrel roof in the reception hall, the space is flooded with natural light that will look great in pictures. And with 19,000 square feet of indoor space dedicated to your event, a large outdoor terrace and free onsite parking, there is plenty of room to host your wedding for up to 300 guests.

We will meet with you to develop a custom floor plan for your event and would also be happy to schedule a meeting to assist with linen and tablescape options, 2) Event Setup: Setup tables and chairs and stage all personal decor, 3) Tear it Down: When your party is over, we’ll pack it all up and put everything in the boxes they came in, 4) Month and Day of Coordination: We’ll help plan your full timeline and coordinate the details with your vendors the week of your event. Our team will manage your event including ceremony, entrance, toasts and sendoff and will work closely with your vendors to ensure everything runs smoothly.
